What am I doing with this information?

Mostly laughing at it and sharing it with anyone who will listen. Usually my wife but she thinks I’m crazy, so really nothing.

I agree with john about the zenith marketing however, I
really want a El Primero Striking 10th. It is the watch that I will
measure all other chrons against. 25% because of its functionally 75%
because it did over 800mph unprotected

I was in the middle of watching Key & Peele when I checked computer stuff during a commercial. That was it – K & P will have to wait. HourTime takes precedence!

BTW – jumping out of high altitude balloons is truly death defying. A previous jump resulted in a nearly fatal spin. So this is not the “hop and pop” John makes it out to be. I agree is has become a marketing stunt for the sponsors, but it it the real deal for the jumper. It is sad that scientific advancements only come when there is a buck to be made. Was it better when the leaps forward were the result of cold war paranoia and national pride? Hard to tell. At least Red Bull and Zenith are no danger to putting weapons in space, ha ha. What a strange world we live in…

…you guys’re crazy and off-the-wall – it’s about 3:10 in the morning (Dutch time) in Amsterdam, Holland, and you rip me up; good background info too – keep up the good work…

So, Ariel got mentioned in (we live in) Financial Times and still no mention about that on the Podcast. This is epic!

Pic of watch shop window display in Basel. You should see the 3m x
10m illuminated posters in Zurich airport too (no time to grab a pic).
Not that Zenith are milking this enough to make Swiss cheese…

To paraphrase Armstrong “One giant leap for man, one small step for mankind”
